I made this pie yesterday in celebration of Pioneer Day. (It was also our engagement anniversary...hooray!) This is one of Spencer's favorites. I used blueberries because they were on sale, but you can use any fresh berry that is in season.
I really don't like fruit pies, but I have to admit that when I pulled this pie out of the oven and saw the blueberries and the crumb topping oozing over the edge, I almost wanted the pie all to myself.
